Our young children’s healthy social and emotional development is critical to school readiness and future success in their lives. Pipeline’s Early Childhood Mental Health Program addresses the concerns of children zero to 6 years of age. Although most children progress in their development without any significant challenges, the high rates of pre-school expulsion due to challenging behaviors is a growing concern. We partner with caregivers and families offering parenting skills and support programs that not only address the child’s oppositional behaviors but also support the caregiver. We work with the medical community, the school to offer a “continuity of care.” The treatment protocols for very young children under the umbrella of ECMH Services include Infant Massage, Parent-Child Interactive Therapy (PCIT), Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR – For Children), Trauma-Focused Play Therapy, The “Flip-It” Program, and C.A.R.E. (Child Adult Relationship Enhancement) Program.
